As you know by now, the ad positions you have access to in AdGear vary in pixel size, based on ad location on the page. But did you know you're not limited to just those sizes? Based on your site needs, advertising agreements and overall creativity, your options can expand substantially.

Currently the ad sizes on your page are as follows:

  • 728x90 pixels: Above your masthead
  • 468x60 pixels: In your left column or inside of your masthead
  • 300x250 pixels: In your right column
  • 160x600 pixels: In your right column

But what if an advertiser wants to run an ad on your site, but it is not one of these sizes? Don't fret. You can! The above ad sizes are industry standard sizes, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), but don't let that limit you. As long as the ad is not wider, in pixels, than the column that it is going in, you can use it.

For example: You can run a 468x60 ad in the left column, or you can run a 640x100 in the same position if you'd like. Or 600x100, if you happen to sell an ad that size. The there is no minimum or maximum for the height of the ad, because you can keep scrolling down on a webpage. Just keep in mind that altering ad sizes may alter the design of your page.
