Flash creates the capacity for much more dynamic advertising units. However, with greater flexibility, comes more complexity. Uploading rich media can be tricky, but the Atlas system has made it as simple as possible with pre-formed templates.
Here is a step-by-step for uploading Flash:
- Under the Campaign tab, begin by clicking Create beneath the Creatives heading.
- Name your creative by using the Atlas naming convention:
account number_advertiser name_ad size.
ex. 0001_Nike_468x60
- Proceed by selecting your advertiser from the preset list.
- Select the Flash Template from the Creative Format drop down.
- Select appropriate as size from the Creative Size drop down.
- Click Custom Options on the blue navigational bar.
- Enter ad width and height in the appropriate fields.
(Leave “SWF URL” blank, this will be entered in a later step)
- In the field Minimum Shockwave Version you will enter the number 6.
- In the Main Options section, paste the click-through URL for the ad into Click URL field. Be sure to include "http://"
- Click Upload next to the Creative URL to prompt an upload window.
- Click Browse and select the appropriate file.
[File should have the same name you gave it on the CREATE CREATIVE Screen]
In the Remote File field, the name of the file will appear. Go to the far left of the field, and add your account number to the beginning of this string, separated by a backslash as in the image to the right named Step 5.
Click Submit to load the file and return to the Edit Creative screen.
- Click Main Options once more and copy your .swf file from the Creative URL field.
For reference, we copied and pasted the following:
http://cmn-images.adbureau.net/cmn (as seen in the screen shot named Step 7)
We then added /0000_Sams_Pizza_300x250.swf
- Click Submit in the right hand corner.
