Optimizing Your Ad Space: 2 Ads, 1 Spot
One of our partners experimented on placing two of their ads in one ad space. The LSU Reveille was fortunate enough to have 2 advertisers that were interested in the top spot, but only one needed an actual click-thru URL to the ad placement.
To accomplish this they took those 2 images and combined them into one using Photoshop. They placed those 2 images side by side while adhering to the size parameters to meet Atlas’ requirements for the 468x60 ad spot.
Turned out to be a win-win-win solution for the newspaper and the advertisers since the newspaper turned an ad spot into 2 tiles ads and the advertisers got the branding and banner ad they desired at the top of the site.
If you have any advertisers who don’t have websites, this might be a lucrative option.
