The standard College Media Network service agreement provides that we will host your site, manage your domain, maintain the integrity of your database, provide software to update your website and train your staff to use that software (each semester).  In exchange for these services, College Media Network requires two advertising positions for national advertising.

There is no fee for our support and technical services provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There is no fee for our server hosting and DNS management.
There is no fee for our semesterly training services.
There is no fee for our web consulting services

Our business model is to sell national advertising across the 600+ college newspaper websites.   The advertisers that want to be associated with your brand underwrite all the services that encompass maintaining a professional grade website.

The two national ad positions that we run on your site is a top leaderboard  ad ( 728x90) and a medium rectangle ad (300x250) in the right column. Our national advertising adheres to strict guidelines stated in our standard contract; specifically:

"[CMN] represents and warrants that it shall not sell any advertising positions on the Site or in e-News emails in connection with the Site promoting cigarettes and tobacco products, beer and alcoholic beverages, prescription drugs, "900" numbers, guns, gambling and other weapons and religious and political oriented advertisers."

The College Publisher software enables local advertising so that newspapers are able to monetize the online edition – in fact, we encourage this practice.  In this site, under the advertising section, there is repository of online advertising tutorials as well as methods and approaches for alternate revenue opportunities available on the local level.
