The annual spring CMA convention in New York City is held at the Mariott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, literally across the street from our offices!
Last year was the first time the convention was held at this venue exclusively. CMN staff were able to lead workshops and individual trainings just off-site at our MTV offices in Times Square.
Our home field advantage also enabled us to throw exclusive events at our offices, featuring MTV music, drinks and a breathtaking view of Times Square. We met 100s of partners and treated a lucky few to unforgettable experiences in the Big Apple.
2010 will be no different.
CMN staff will be hosting a variety of events through the 3 day convention including:
- Party bus tour through NYC for CMN student editors
- Reception on the 33rd floor of our Times Square offices
- Photo contest to capture NYC and college media
- Free swag at our booth throughout the show
In addition to these events, CMN staff will have a table at the trade show where signups for access to our offices will be acquired. Our team is trying to encourage editors to come over and meet our whole staff and tour the office. We'll also be available for one-on-one trainings, consultations and conversations. Our entire staff eagerly awaits your arrival!
Conferences like this give us the opportunity to meet face-to-face with student journalists and advisers alike, allow us to demonstrate new products, and answer questions and concerns of partners and prospective partners.
