Being an intern for College Media Network provides for a wide variety of learning experiences.
This isn't the typical errand-running internship that so many college students fall victim to. At CMN, interns have real responsibilities and real assignments. From working with professional designers on changes a site needs to helping a newspaper launch its new Web site, CMN interns have the ability to see what it's like on the support side of College Publisher.
The knowledge you gain from interning with CMN is especially powerful when you can take that information back to your school and apply it to your own paper's site.
Another great aspect of being a CMN intern is the amount of input you can give to the development of College Publisher. As a college student, your opinion matters to College Publisher, and the CMN team recognizes that by taking the time to get your valued thoughts on developments and ideas.
College Publisher is constantly trying to update its functions to improve its newspapers, and what better way to do that then getting feedback directly from the source: college student journalists.
And with CMS being a subsidiary company of mtvU, interns are constantly being invited to exclusive MTV events such as television show tapings, concerts or even casting calls.
And with the great working environment, not only can you gain a ton of information, you're also sure to gain a few friends. Feel free to pick up the phone and ask us a few questions about available opportunities (866.733.9231).
Many of our previous CMN Interns contribute to collegepublisher.com on the Student Blog; you can read some of their experiences and successes from their respective newspapers.
